Job summary

The University of North Dakota invites applications for a 9-month Open Rank Teaching Professor to support the Aerospace Engineering program. Duties include developing and teaching courses in aerospace design, structures, labs, and flight mechanics, with approximately a 4/4 course load for Fall/Spring semesters, and advising students on graduation requirements.

Ideal candidates will have PhD in a related field and proven teaching excellence, plus ability to teach undergraduate and graduate

Qualifications

• PhD in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or engineering education or closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in AE/ME.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and online delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach aerospace engineering courses covering design, labs, structures, and flight mechanics.
• Teach a 4/4 course load each Fall/Spring.
• Advise students on course planning and graduation requirements.
• Contribute to ABET accreditation activities.
• Engage in department, college, and university service.
• Adapt teaching to online delivery and new methods.
