Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking an Aerospace Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience across flight hardware analysis, design support, and systems engineering. You will assist with analysis, testing, and production processes while shadowing seasoned engineers.

Eligible candidates are pursuing a STEM degree with plans to remain enrolled in Fall 2027 and available for full-time work at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a STEM degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must plan to be enrolled in Fall Semester 2027.
• Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks in Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing flight hardware and assist in future hardware design.
• Perform data analysis, trade studies, and tool design; manage non-conformances and production docs.
• Shadow experienced engineers and contribute to large projects and day-to-day activities.

Job Overview & Responsibilities

As an Aerospace Engineering Intern at United LaunchAlliance,you'llgain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to:

• Perform the following, but not limited to analysis on existing flight hardware, assist in the design and development of future hardware, perform analysis for both completed and future launches, test, systems engineering, mission integration, quality assurance, system safety, launch operations and production operations.
• Perform the following, but not limited to data analysis, analysis methodology improvement projects, software improvement projects, trade studies, design for manufacturer studies, create or modify tool designs, process cause and corrective actions for non-conformances, maintain production work instructions, supplier management, and component or integrated systems test.
• Support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.

Interns may perform and/orparticipateinadditionalactivities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!

Required Education

At minimum completed Sophomoreyear of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding.NOTE:An unofficial transcript isrequiredif you are invited for an interview. We recommend you upload it to your profile when you apply.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.

Role Specific Qualifications

• At minimum, actively pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.
• Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.
• Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the Summer of 2027.
• Working knowledge of basic engineering application tools like:
• MATLAB
• LabVIEW
• NX
• Creo or CFD Software
• Other design and analysis tools
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations:
• Pueblo, CO
• Cape Canaveral, FL
• Decatur, AL

Summary Salary Range:

CO: $23.10 - $37.95

CA: $24.20 - $37.95

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
