Job summary

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) in Cypress, CA, is seeking an Aerospace EMP Engineer to support EMP hardening and assessments on aircraft and ground facilities, translating complex requirements into practical test programs.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, physicists and technicians on long-standing and new programs, traveling up to 30% when needed, and contributing from concept through operation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years in Physics, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, or EMI/EMC.
• Experience with spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, EMI/EMC devices.

Responsibilities

• Support aircraft and aerospace EMP assessments, travel up to 30%.
• Design, develop, test and document multidisciplinary engineering tasks.
• Write technical reports and maintain project documentation.
• Perform hands-on testing with oscilloscopes and meters.
