Job summary

Blue Origin Florida is seeking an experienced Harness Design Engineer to join the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team. You will develop wiring interconnect diagrams (WID), harness assembly drawings, and installation drawings that directly impact spaceflight history.

Requirements include a B.S. in a technical field and 3+ years designing aerospace wire harnesses, proficiency with Creo or similar CAD tools, and familiarity with IPC/WHMA‑A‑620A and NASA‑STD‑8739.4 standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years designing Wire Harnesses for Aerospace.
• Familiar with Creo, Zuken or Windchill or similar CAD tools.
• Understanding wire derating analysis and harness standards IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4.
• Strong 3-D CAD design and integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power, RF, data and control.
• Create wiring diagrams and 3D routed harness data.
• Develop harness installation drawings and support brackets.
• Provide guidance for hardware installation and testing.
• Report activity schedule and technical status; seek improvements.
