Job summary

Wright State University’s Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor starting August 1, 2027, with a focus on dynamic systems.

The successful candidate will build a nationally competitive research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to departmental and university service while pursuing collaborations with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and AFRL.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field by Aug 1, 2027.
• Evidence of scholarly potential for Assistant Professor or established record for Associate.
• Ability to obtain required access permissions for collaboration with WPAFB and AFRL.
• Commitment to student mentoring and collaborative research.

Responsibilities
