Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related technical field and 4+ years' experience in drawing checking.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.100-2017 and Y14.5-2018 (GD&T) and PDM.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to coordinate with teams.
• Independent and teamwork skills for multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Check documentation of fabricated items, schematics, assemblies, Source Control Drawings (SCDs), and VICDs for conformance.
• Verify fit, form, and function through dimensioning accuracy.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis for drawing features.
• Recommend changes to the Drafting Room Manual (DRM) and Standard Drawing Notes.
• Collaborate with other checkers to ensure consistency of checking practices.
• Resolve drawing and design issues with engineering and other disciplines.
• May consult quality, manufacturing, and configuration management on PDM issues.
• Observe all laws and company procedures; work safely.
