The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, seeks an onsite mechanical assembler. You will align, fasten, and install subassemblies, read blueprints, and ensure quality throughout the build process.

Requires 1–2 years in mechanical assembly, high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift up to 35 lbs. US person per ITAR; export control compliance applies.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years mechanical assembly experience.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English.

Responsabilidades

• Align and fit sub and structural assemblies by installing and connecting parts, fittings, and assemblies.
• Install fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, rivnuts, helicoils, keenserts, and adhesives.
• Use basic hand tools: screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets and sockets, ruler, calipers.
• Set-up, operate, and maintain drilling and riveting equipment (Cherry & Huck).
• Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments and following blueprint lines and index points.
• Cut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and tolerances.
• Read blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts and sequences of operations.
• Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify defects and take appropriate measures per non-conformance procedures.
• Rework and/or repair assembled parts according to engineering specification changes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
