Job summary

The Entwistle Company in Hudson, MA seeks an Aircraft Nondestructive Inspection Technician to join a mission-focused quality team. You will perform precision inspections using CMMs and FARO arms, verify GD&T callouts, and ensure conformity of critical defense components.

With 5+ years of experience and an associate degree, you will review drawings, report results, and coordinate with production and government representatives while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of inspection experience with solid GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to operate Coordinate Measuring Machines.
• Familiar with CMM programming and FARO Arm checks.

Responsibilities

• Review work travelers and drawings, set up inspections, and program/run CMM and FARO Arm checks; verify features with micrometers, height stands, optical comparators, and thread/plug gauges.
• Perform first-piece approvals, final product and assembly inspections, and incoming verifications; capture plating thickness and validate GD&T callouts.
• Document results and produce inspection reports; flag non-conformances, notify teams, follow through on corrective actions, and highlight quality trends.
• Interface professionally with customer and government representatives; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Marine Corps MOS: 6048 – Aircraft Nondestructive Inspection Technician

A day in the life

• Morning: Review work travelers and drawings, set up mechanical and visual inspections, and program/run CMM and FARO Arm checks. Verify features with micrometers, height stands, optical comparators, and thread/plug gauges.
• Midday: Perform first-piece approvals, final product and assembly inspections, and incoming verifications of vendor-supplied items for compliance with purchase orders. Capture plating thickness and validate GD&T callouts.
• Afternoon: Document results and produce formal inspection reports per company procedures. Flag non-conformances, notify production/assembly teams, follow through on corrective actions, and highlight quality trends for management attention. Recommend improvements to methods and equipment.
• Always: Interface professionally with customer and government representatives. Keep your area clean, safe, and organized. Perform other duties as assigned.
