Job summary

Atlas Group is seeking a skilled deburr technician to finish machined aerospace parts. You will remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections using hand and power tools, ensuring parts meet tight dimensional and surface specifications before inspection or assembly.

Qualifications include reading customer drawings, proficiency with specifications, strong dexterity, and experience with deburring tools and precision measuring instruments. AHS diploma/GED and 2+ years in deburr work are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read customer drawings.
• Proficient with customer furnished specifications.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for delicate finish work.
• Familiarity with deburring and finishing tools and appropriate abrasives for given materials.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers).

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools, power tools, and small machinery to remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, flash, and other defects.
• Wash, clean, or prepare parts after deburring to meet cleanliness and surface condition requirements.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and surface finish using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, profilometers, and microscopes.
• Maintain production logs and inspection records; ensure traceability where required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace; keep tools sharp and PPE/safety/5S standards.
