Job summary

A leading aviation firm in Fort Worth is seeking Aerospace Data Modeling and Architecture Engineers to design and integrate data architecture for advanced aircraft systems. The role involves creating data architecture in MBSE models and validating system data flow. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required.

  • Able to communicate directly with senior leadership inside and outside the company.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, modeling, and integrating data architecture in MBSE models in Cameo for the FLRAA aircraft program.
  • Create the Data Architecture for the FLRAA Platform.
  • Validate and verify system data designs and data flow.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to generate and execute projects.
  • Validate and verify system data paths.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system integration/verification issues.
  • Coordinate with teams, suppliers, and peers on plans and reviews.
  • Manage issues, problem reports and change requests to closure.
  • Coordinate design changes with Safety, Security and Certification.
  • Ensure timely delivery of aircraft systems data and requirements.
  • Escalate issues needing higher engineering or leadership input.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long‑Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell’s High‑Speed Vertical Take‑Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next‑generation stop‑fold aircraft.

These positions are onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

Aerospace Data Modeling and Architecture Engineers

These Aerospace Data Modeling and Architecture Engineers are responsible for design, modeling, and integrating the data architecture in MBSE models in Cameo for the FLRAA aircraft program – onboard systems.

In this role you will be taking data types and putting them into CAMEO Models. Create the Data Architecture for the FLRAA Platform.

In addition, you will be responsible to validate and verify system data designs and data flow throughout the digital backbone and connected aircraft systems.

What you’ll be doing as an Aerospace Data Modeling and Architecture Engineer:
  • SysML Modeling in MagicDraw/Cameo.
  • Working with product teams and suppliers to iterate on data.
  • Generate system functional requirements from stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop architecture models and allocate requirements to hardware/software components.
  • Validate and verify system data paths.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system integration/verification issues.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams, suppliers, and peers to generate and execute projects/design plans and reviews.
  • Manage and coordinate issues, problem reports and change requests to closure.
  • Coordinate design changes and deliveries with Safety, Security and Certification organizations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of aircraft systems data, systems requirements, integrated validation/verification activities, and issue resolution.
  • Escalate issues that need additional engineering or business leadership assistance in a timely manner.
What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Mechanical or other engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience.
  • At least 2 years of proven work experience in software design or data modeling.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
  • Able to communicate directly with senior leadership inside and outside the company.
  • Self‑motivated and able to track and report performance to cost and schedule.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Skills You Bring To this Role:
  • Experience with MBSE tools (eg, EA Sparx, IBM Rhapsody, CAMEO/Magic Draw) and configuration management tools (eg SVN, Clearcase, git, Dimensions).
  • Experience in developing, managing or designing within Digital Engineering and MBSE is a plus.
  • Experience working with ARINC 429, MIL‑STD‑1553, CAN, and or TSN is a plus.
  • Experience with a database language like SQL, LINQ, JSON, or Ruby is a plus.
  • Experience with Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) is a plus.
