Job summary

ACT Aerospace is seeking a Composite Quality Auditor to ensure aerospace composite components and processes meet AS9100 and customer specifications. You will perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections, review travelers and shop packets, and help drive quality through documentation and root-cause actions.

Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams, applying precision metrology tools and NDT when required, to maintain traceability and support audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical education preferred.
• 2+ years aerospace composite manufacturing or quality experience preferred.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other aerospace quality systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, travelers, and process sheets.
• Skilled in using precision inspection tools and basic NDT techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed in-process, final, and receiving inspections of composite parts and raw materials.
• Audit composite layup, debulk, cure, trim, bonding, machining, and finishing processes.
• Validate conformity to engineering drawings, travelers, shop packets, and specifications.
• Document non-conformances and quality observations using QMS.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain traceability and accurate quality documentation for audits.
• Provide coaching to operators on quality expectations.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
