Zusammenfassung

DRT Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist in Winsted, CT to join a growing team manufacturing high-precision aerospace components. You will set up and run CNC milling centers, read blueprints with GD&T, conduct in-process inspections, and make tool and program adjustments to hit tight tolerances.

Expect to work on HMCs and VMCs across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts with competitive pay, a shift differential where applicable, overtime, and Day 1 benefits plus a 401(k) match.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Milling Machines, including HMCs and VMCs
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
• Experience with tooling selection, fixture setup, and precision inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment

Aufgaben

• Set up and operate CNC Milling Machines, including Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs)
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, work offset adjustments, and first-piece inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
• Manufacture precision‑machined components to tight tolerances
• Conduct in‑process inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments
• Make tooling and program adjustments to maintain quality, efficiency, and production targets
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and implement corrective actions
• Monitor tool life and identify opportunities to improve machining processes and cycle times
• Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
