Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking a Sr. CNC Milling/Turning Machinist for the 2nd shift in East Granby, CT. The role focuses on precision aerospace components, requiring independent setup, multi-axis operation, and tight tolerances on complex materials.

The ideal candidate will routinely set up fixtures, select tooling, program adjustments, and perform in-process inspections while maintaining quality and productivity in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

8–10+ years of CNC machining in aerospace
Experience operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
Familiar with Fanuc and/or Okuma controls
Strong GD&T knowledge and reading blueprints
Ability to set up tooling and adjust offsets
Familiar with Renishaw probing systems and touch setters
Ability to maintain tolerance to ±0.0005 inch

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling equipment for aerospace components
Independently run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines in a high-precision environment
Perform complete machine setups including fixture installation and tooling
Interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and CNC programs
Verify features using inspection tools and fixtures
Monitor machining operations and adjust tooling/offsets as needed
Operate multiple machines within a manufacturing cell
Conduct in-process inspections with precision instruments
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
