Job summary

Custom Control Sensors, LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Aerospace CAD Drafter to create 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks and to prepare Bills of Materials for new and existing products. You will follow strict Engineering Drawing Control procedures and support production, sales, and customers with accurate documentation.

The role requires ITAR compliance, experience with BOM data, and familiarity with AutoCAD 2D.

Qualifications

• Must be U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident due to ITAR compliance.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, Word, Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD 2D is desirable.
• Experience with ERP systems for BOM data is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks according to procedures.
• Create or edit Bills of Materials for new or existing products.
• Prepare layouts, sections, assemblies based on drawings or verbal instructions.
• Ensure drawings meet ANSI 14.5M dimensioning and tolerancing standards.
• Update changes to BOMs to support production, sales, and customers.
• Maintain quality standards and follow procedures and deadlines.
• Represent the company professionally and adapt to changes.

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Aerospace CAD Drafter is responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks software, in accordance with CCS’ Engineering Drawing Control procedures. Position also involves data entry and creating or editing Bill of Materials for new or existing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D layouts, section, assembly, detail and source or specification control drawings based on CCS or Customer drawings, sketches, layouts or verbal instructions.
• Must be familiar with ANSI 14.5M-"Dimensioning and Tolerancing".
• Edits, revises, and updates changes to existing drawings and Bill of Materials in support of production, sales and customers.
• Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work.
• Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards.
• Follows instructions and procedures exactly.
• Working consistently or working overtime to meet project deadlines, as required.
• Conducts himself/herself in a business‑like and civil manner.
• Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

• Due to need to maintain ITAR compliance, applicants must be U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Proficient knowledge in Solid Works, Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office products as required.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD 2-D software desirable.
• Experience with Syteline or other ERP software systems for entering and maintaining product Bill of Material data is desirable.
• Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the Company.
• Manual dexterity to safely and proficiently operate company office equipment such as copiers, calculators, and personal computers. Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation application skills.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions.
• Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability.
