Job summary

Amazon Leo in Redmond, WA is seeking technicians for full-scale production of Leo satellites. You will assemble, test, and document LRUs and avionics, following strict safety and process controls.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, rapid prioritization, and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Applicants should have 1+ year of hands-on tooling, measurement, and test method experience, plus the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification.
• 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches).
• 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system.
• Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds.
• Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory.
• You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables.
• Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance.
• Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations.
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)
• Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures.
