Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Kansas is seeking an Assembly Mechanic to assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision structural components from drawings and process specifications. You will verify work per instructions, use precision measuring tools, and support ongoing production within a union environment.

This role requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance, with options for 1st or 2nd shift and overtime.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as required.
• Comfort working on concrete floors and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision structural components from drawings and specs.
• Perform functional tests and verify components meet engineering requirements.
• Handle tooling and measurement devices to assemble sub-assemblies and end items.
• Maintain and verify certification of equipment, and assist in training other assembly personnel.
• Move products within the manufacturing area and support continuous flow of production.
