Job summary

RTCA is seeking an Assembly Manager to lead the Assembly department in Fife, WA, owning safety, quality, throughput and on-time delivery in a hands-on leadership role.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Planning and Supply Chain to keep programs on schedule, develop staff, and implement standard work while driving continuous improvement and aerospace quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Significant aerospace or precision manufacturing assembly experience.
• Experience leading and developing a manufacturing team.
• Proven ability to implement processes and work instructions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain.
• Excellent communication and performance management skills.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent aerospace quality system.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day performance of the Assembly department, including safety, quality, throughput, and on-time delivery.
• Provide hands-on leadership to Assembly Leads and Technicians with clear expectations.
• Develop technicians and leads through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Establish department metrics and action plans to close gaps.
• Build and improve standard work, processes, and procedures.
• Plan staffing, scheduling, and capacity to meet production goals.
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and other regulatory requirements.
