SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking dependable Assembly Technicians for Renton, WA on 2nd shift (3:00PM - 1:30AM, Mon-Thu, FT Non-Exempt). Pay ranges from $24.88 to $28.88 per hour, including a 10% shift differential.

Responsibilities

  • Follow job traveler instructions to assemble parts using small hand tools, bonding adhesives and assembly jigs.
  • Hand wraps insulation blankets, using utility knives, foam insulation, and insulation tape.
  • Performs light sanding and abrading of composite, plastic, and some metal components.
  • May perform some light riveting using rivet squeezes and pop rivet guns.

Position

The Assembler works according to task time on a moving line or bench, performing finish assembly processes to mass-produce commercial aircraft composite products. The individual is an experienced, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level.

Responsibilities

Experience
  • Two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Working Conditions

While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature-controlled
  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment

  • Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
