Job summary

FLAG Solutions LLC is seeking a hands-on technician to set up, run, and troubleshoot aerospace fastener assembly equipment. You will perform in-process inspections, document results, and support final assembly of aerospace fasteners.

Proficiency with precision tools and a strong emphasis on quality and throughput are essential. Responsibilities include machine setups, changeovers, proven-out processes, and maintaining 5S standards.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years fastener or precision assembly experience (aerospace preferred).
  • Advanced equipment setup skills and demonstrated troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong inspection skills and product knowledge; reads drawings/work instructions.
  • Proficient with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparator, test plates, torque/air tools.
  • Clear written/verbal communication; accurate documentation and basic computer use.
  • Certification(s) applicable to fastener/assembly operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full machine setups, changeovers, and prove-outs; optimize parameters for quality and rate.
  • Operate assembly equipment safely and efficiently; follow PPE, LOTO, and shop procedures.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and final checks; validate upstream components and assembled product.
  • Use precision measuring tools and gauges; document results, lot traceability, and sign-offs.
  • Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and request maintenance support when needed.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment/product issues (advanced troubleshooting).
  • Maintain 5S/housekeeping; stage materials and keep work area organized.
  • Train and provide day-to-day guidance to Level I/entry operators; support operation audits.

Job Description

Position Summary:
Set up, run, and troubleshoot fastener assembly equipment with minimal supervision. Perform in-process inspections, complete documentation, and support final assembly of aerospace fasteners. Use precision tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, test plates, installation guns) to verify conformance and drive quality and throughput.
