Job summary

Torch Technologies seeks a Wind Tunnel Test Engineer to support AEDC Arnold AFB, TN. You will plan, execute, and analyze aerodynamic tests in wind tunnels, ensuring instrumentation accuracy and safety while delivering clear technical reports.

Responsibilities include test planning, data analysis, and presenting findings; collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required; Master’s degree and CAD/Python skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Experience in aerodynamic performance and testing concepts preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with detailed technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design aerodynamic wind tunnel tests, including instrument needs and safety protocols.
• Oversee test article installation, calibration, data collection, and safety compliance.
• Process, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive test reports and findings.
• Present results to customers and stakeholders and contribute to new testing methods.
• Maintain knowledge of aerodynamic theory and evolving experimental techniques.
