Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Lineman II Telecom to install and repair fiber and telecom cables, ensuring safe and reliable service. The role requires climbing, tool use, and the ability to travel for storm response on short notice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Lineman experience required.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (not Provisional).
• Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair complex fiber/telecom cables and materials, promptly fix issues for reliable service.
• Safely use hand and power tools including wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Maintain safe work areas to keep traffic flowing on site.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Install and repair complex fiber/telecom cables and materials, promptly repair any issues to ensure efficient and reliable service
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Maintain safe work areas so that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Other duties as assigned
  

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid chauffeurs license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Class A Commercial driver's license preferred
• A minimum of1 years of relevant Lineman experience

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
