Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial in Morgantown, WV to support an aerial crew with installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables and materials. You will handle tools, equipment, and daily site logistics to keep projects on track.

The role requires physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to obtain a pole climber certification if not already certified. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities must be completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older

• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
