Job summary

PUSH, Inc. in Altoona, WI seeks an Aerial Lineman (Local Work) to build and maintain aerial telecom systems. This role requires field work, outdoor conditions, and the ability to travel for outages or assignments as needed.

You will join a seasoned team responsible for safe line construction, customer interaction, and adherence to OSHA guidelines, with opportunities for growth and CDL training in-house.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as an Aerial Groundman, preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of aerial utility installation, safety regulations and work methods associated with aerial line work.
• Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Demonstrated field experience working with Aerial crews.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions; multi-task in a fast-paced environment; abide safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Planning and initiating projects.
• Interaction with customers, utility owners and governmental officials.
• Establishing and conforming to OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Assist in the construction of new aerial and underground services and service upgrades.
• Training and mentoring of Aerial Groundman.
• Tree trimming or route clearing.
• Use of care of specialized hand tools and required equipment.
• Operating heavy equipment such as Digger and Bucket Truck.
