Mediacom Communications is seeking an Aerial Construction Specialist in Springfield, MO to perform aerial construction and coax splicing in accordance with safety regulations and Mediacom policies. The role involves assisting with overhead line work, material prep, and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, trade school training preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
• General knowledge of mechanical devices including hand tools and basic equipment operation.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed on emergency basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist Aerial Lineman by preparing materials, tools, and equipment needed for overhead line work.
• Act as a spotter for aerial lineman to ensure safety.
• Provide support by pulling and feeding cables, attaching hardware, and securing work areas.
• Climb utility poles using gaffs to place cables on pole per system design and spec.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and handle all tools and assets safely.
• Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
