Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is hiring Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency medical assistance requests. AEMTs will deliver high-quality care and customer service to patients while working collaboratively with all health and safety personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Driver’s License.
• National or State AEMT certification.
• CPR/BLS certifications required.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and determine necessary care.
• Deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques.
• Document patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide care with appropriate EMT skills.
• Operate ambulance following safety policies and traffic laws.
• Work collaboratively with health and safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain good relations.
