Job summary

Superior Mobile Health is seeking an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to deliver high-quality emergency care within the AEMT scope and to support timely patient transport.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while documenting care accurately and maintaining safety standards in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Texas Advanced EMT Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• EMT-B experience required; AEMT experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical assessment, treatment, and patient care within the AEMT scope.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls while safely operating ambulances in accordance with policies.
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize interventions, and adjust care as conditions change.
• Safely package, transport, and monitor patients throughout transport.
• Utilize medical equipment including cardiac monitors and airway devices.
• Collaborate with EMTs, Paramedics, dispatch, and facilities for seamless care.
• Complete timely ePCRs to support clinical, legal, and billing needs.
• Maintain ambulance readiness, cleanliness, and inventory.
• Follow all policies, medical protocols, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)

As an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) with Superior Mobile Health, you'll provide high-quality emergency medical care within the AEMT scope of practice while helping ensure safe, timely, and effective patient transport.

This frontline role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in dynamic environments. Along with delivering compassionate patient care, you'll safely operate emergency vehicles, complete accurate electronic documentation, and uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Provide emergency medical assessment, treatment, and patient care within the AEMT scope of practice.

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls while safely operating ambulances in accordance with company policies and driving standards.

• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize interventions, and adjust care based on changing patient conditions.

• Safely package, transport, and continuously monitor patients throughout transport.

• Utilize medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, medication administration equipment, airway devices, and other emergency response tools.

• Collaborate with EMTs, Paramedics, dispatch, and receiving medical facilities to ensure seamless patient care.

• Complete timely and accurate electronic patient care reports (ePCR) to support clinical, legal, and billing requirements.

• Maintain ambulance cleanliness, equipment readiness, and inventory to ensure operational preparedness.

• Follow all company policies, medical protocols, and safety standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• Previous experience as an EMT-B.

• Previous AEMT experience preferred but not required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Texas Advanced EMT Certification.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

• Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Lift and carry up to 150 pounds (up to 300 pounds with assistance).

• Bend, stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, and navigate uneven terrain.

• Work in high-stress environments with flashing lights, loud noises, adverse weather, confined spaces, and varying temperatures.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed in the field and requires working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Team members may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, traffic hazards, noise, and other emergency scene conditions.

Scheduling includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended shifts based on operational needs.
