Job summary

Halian is seeking an experienced AEM Architect to lead design, governance, and implementation of enterprise-scale Adobe Experience Manager solutions in a hybrid Plainsboro, NJ setting.

In this role you will drive architecture decisions, mentor developers, and collaborate with cloud, API, and QA teams to deliver scalable digital experiences while ensuring security, accessibility, and performance across a large portfolio of websites.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AEM architecture including Sites, Assets, and integrations.
• Lead migration from AEM On-Premise to AEM Cloud Service.
• Define scalable architecture, standards, and governance.
• Modernize legacy components into reusable libraries.
• Collaborate with cloud, API, and engineering teams to align front-end experiences with enterprise services.
• Design content governance, tagging strategies, metadata models, and authoring workflows.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices, and release processes.
• Partner with QA to ensure test automation, accessibility, and performance.
• Drive security, privacy, and compliance best practices across the platform.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational excellence standards.

Location: Plainsboro, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week from Day 1)

We are seeking an experienced AEM Architect to lead the design, governance, and implementation of enterprise-scale Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions. This is a key technical leadership role where you will drive architecture decisions, guide development teams, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing digital experiences across a large portfolio of websites.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end AEM architecture, including AEM Sites, Assets, and integrations.
• Lead the migration of enterprise platforms from AEM On-Premise to AEM Cloud Service.
• Define and implement scalable architecture, development standards, and governance frameworks.
• Consolidate and modernize legacy components into reusable, maintainable component libraries.
• Collaborate with cloud, API, and engineering teams to align front-end experiences with enterprise services.
• Design and enforce content governance, tagging strategies, metadata models, and authoring workflows.
• Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices, and release processes.
• Partner with QA teams to ensure test automation, accessibility compliance, and performance optimization.
• Drive security, privacy, and compliance best practices across the platform.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational excellence standards.
• Mentor developers, conduct design reviews, and promote architectural best practices.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and product owners to translate requirements into scalable digital solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience designing and implementing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions.
• Strong expertise with AEM Cloud Service.
• Experience leading large-scale AEM migration and transformation programs.
• Strong background in .NET development and architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools and modern deployment practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and enterprise API integrations.
• Strong understanding of content governance, security, accessibility, and performance best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting large multi‑site, multi‑brand digital ecosystems.
• Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Azure services, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Splunk, and enterprise monitoring tools.
