Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Scribe, perform patient work-up, and conduct vision testing.
• Assist the physician in the room and with refracting, medical terminology, and testing workflow.
• Conduct visual field and OCT testing as part of patient evaluation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician who is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic to join our successful surgical practice! Candidates must possess a positive professional attitude, ability to develop strong connections with our patients, treat patients with warmth and empathy, are team oriented and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and apply complex concepts to their daily work. The right candidate will possess skills of an Ophthalmic Technician and will have experience in scribing, patient work-up, vision testing, refracting, medical terminology, assisting the physician in the room, visual field and OCT testing.

Education and Experience

• Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer service focus
• Previous experience within the medical field (preferred)
• High school or equivalent education

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position located in Washington, NC
• Travel to other locations is required. Edenton, Elizabeth City, Kinston, Kitty Hawk & Washington
