Job summary

Woodstock Institute is a leading nonprofit research and policy organization focused on creating an equitable financial system for low-income communities and communities of color. The Policy & Advocacy Associate will promote Woodstock’s policy positions among policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, and community partners.

The role reports to the Director of Policy & Advocacy, collaborates with research and communications teams, and contributes to fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in policy or advocacy.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and budget constraints.
• Strong commitment to economic and social justice issues.
• Excellent written and spoken English communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Support policy and advocacy initiatives at local, state, and national levels, including travel to Springfield, IL and Washington, DC.
• Assist with lobbying meetings and manage required lobbying reporting.
• Monitor policy developments and help form Woodstock Institute positions.
