Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) in San Jose, CA, seeks a BE/BC pediatrician with a fellowship in child abuse pediatrics to join the new Medical Clinic at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Santa Clara County.

The physician will lead clinical and administrative initiatives, provide forensic evaluations, mentor staff, and collaborate with county agencies to enhance care for vulnerable children and youth.

Qualifikationen

• BE/BC pediatrician with fellowship training in child abuse pediatrics.
• Experience with advocacy for vulnerable children and youth.

Aufgaben

• Forensic evaluations for child sexual abuse, child physical abuse and neglect at the CAC and SCVMC with clinical hours and call schedule to be determined.
• Consultation in child physical abuse and neglect for DFCS/CPS, law enforcement, DA, and clinical providers.
• Collaboration with the Pediatric Diagnostic Center and potential developmental assessments with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervision of CAC advanced practice providers (PAs and NPs).
• Provide ongoing education and develop materials for staff on signs of abuse and mandatory reporting.
• Support Child Abuse Prevention Committee and other county-wide organizations.
