Job summary

Constellation is seeking a strategic Communications professional to develop and execute external engagement plans focused on state and federal public policy. You will build relationships with NGOs, think tanks and influencers, coordinating coalitions to influence energy policy priorities in California and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years in political/policy communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
• Excellent writer and cogent thinker.
• Familiarity with digital and social media campaigning.
• Strategic problem solving with bias for action.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute strategic communications plans in support of state and federal public policy objectives.
• Build and maintain grassroots coalitions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders, NGOs, and allied advocacy groups.
• Influence policymakers through public advocacy and activations.
• Manage agency contracts and develop messaging documents for priorities and campaigns.
• Monitor federal and state issues to advise on policy directions.
• Provide strategic recommendations to advance business and policy priorities.
