Job summary

CAA in San Francisco seeks an Advocacy Manager to drive policy and social change through campaign leadership, community engagement, and coalition building across local and national levels.

This role oversees civic and voter engagement, multi-state advocacy, and strategic partnerships with diverse communities, with a focus on language access and civil rights, reporting to the Managing Director of Advocacy. Hybrid work basis in SF Bay Area.

Qualifications

• At least 5-6 years in organizing and/or advocacy, civic engagement, or electoral campaigns.
• 2-3 years recruiting, training, and managing volunteers or grassroots leaders.
• Experience coordinating multi-channel outreach (phone/text/digital).
• Proven ability to plan events with large attendance and work with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent writing and editing for advocacy emails, social media, and communications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage high-impact advocacy campaigns with partners to win policy goals.
• Build and facilitate diverse coalitions and coordinate with stakeholders across regions.
• Design voter contact programs and multilingual outreach to engage AAPI voters.
• Organize events, press conferences, and online/offline activities with budgeting and logistics.
• Lead media and mobilisation strategies in collaboration with Communications.
• Supervise staff, manage performance, and ensure alignment with organizational policies.
