Crowe is seeking a Business Operations Assistant Director to drive strategic and operational management of a business unit,Delivering planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while ensuring adherence to firm policies and standards.

You will partner with business operations leaders to translate strategy into execution, support decision-making, and manage initiatives across the organization with a focus on process improvement and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, operations, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6–9+ years in business operations, FP&A, or related roles.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives or projects.
  • Proficiency with financial and reporting tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for aligned units.
  • Prepare and analyze recurring and ad hoc financial/operational reports, identify trends and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and guidelines.
  • Assist in managing budgets, invoicing, and expense tracking with Finance/Procurement.
  • Support workforce planning, including resource forecasting and org changes.
  • Coordinate operational projects, track progress and support delivery.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes, tools, templates, and metrics.
  • Prepare leadership materials including reports, presentations, and status updates.
  • Represent operations in cross-functional teams and working groups.
  • Support change initiatives and continuous improvement across the organization.

Business Operations Assistant Director

Overview

The Business Operations Assistant Director supports the strategic and operational management of a business unit, delivery unit. This role partners closely with business operations leaders to manage planning, reporting, and key initiatives, while ensuring adherence to firm policies and operational standards. The Business Operations Assistant Director plays a critical role in translating strategy into execution and supporting effective decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for aligned business units or cost centers.
  • Prepare and analyze recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports; identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with firm financial, procurement, and operational policies and guidelines.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, invoicing, and expense tracking; coordinate with Finance and Procurement as needed.
  • Support workforce planning activities, including resource forecasting and organizational changes.
  • Manage and coordinate operational projects or initiatives as assigned, tracking progress and supporting delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational processes, tools, templates, and metrics.
  • Prepare materials for leadership meetings, including reports, presentations, and status updates.
  • Represent business operations in cross-functional teams or working groups where operational insight is required.
  • Support change initiatives, communications, and continuous improvement efforts across the aligned organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 6–9+ years of experience in business operations, financial planning and analysis, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives or projects.
  • Proficiency with financial and reporting tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative working style and strong business partnership mindset.
  • Experience in professional services or complex, matrixed organizations preferred.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $109,300.00 - $230,300.00 per year.
