Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Privacy & Data Protection Intern to learn the basics of privacy and data protection risks, assist with client projects and internal initiatives, and work alongside experienced professionals on assessments, policies, and privacy technology implementations.

You will participate in privacy maturity assessments, PIAs, and data inventories, document meetings, support project tasks, and help socialize findings with the team; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Management, required
• Enrolled in an MBA or JD program, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with privacy maturity assessments based on privacy regulations or frameworks
• Assists with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) of client systems, vendors, or processing activities
• Assists with managed service client tasks
• Documents client meetings to socialize with the team following the meeting
• Supports project tasks related to privacy projects
• Assists with developing client reports, including findings and recommendations
• Assists with developing project deliverables
• Collects information for privacy processing registers and data inventories
• Conducts research for client projects to ensure that they receive the most up to date solutions available on the market
• Budgets time and assists with multiple project requests simultaneously, as well as the ability to monitor project tasks and risks
• Travel required as necessary
• Other duties as required

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

Illinois Range: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Minnesota Range: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr

NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Ohio Range: $33.00/hr - $37.00/hr

Washington DC Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
