Job summary

KPMG LLP in McLean, VA is seeking an Associate for our Advisory practice, with a Summer/Fall 2027 start. You will support delivery and development of advisory services to clients, focusing on projects, programs, or portfolio management.

The role emphasizes charter development, schedules, risk management, reporting to clients and leadership, and producing communications and training materials. A strong academic record and U.S. work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the past 12 months in a relevant field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance.
• Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; professional demeanor and collaborative leadership.
• Able to leverage MS Office (Excel) and AI and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications.
• Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills, with professional judgment and ability to manage priorities across tasks.
• Applicant must reside within commutable distance of the office and be responsible for transportation to office/client locations.
• Work location may be in office, at client sites, or virtual/remote; must be located within the U.S. when working remotely.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Policy, Organizational Psychology, Operations, Management, Information Systems, Strategy, Political Science, Government, Human Factors/Human Centered Design, or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
• Applicant must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
• Applicant must be eligible for or possess a U.S. Government Security clearance
• Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills; demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Ability to leverage common business technologies, including MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI, and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications used by our clients
• Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills, with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity
• Applicant must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need; you must be located within the U.S. when working remotely; client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
