Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Internal Audit - Finance professional to audit financial and operational processes, support SOX compliance and fraud investigations, and collaborate with business leaders to improve controls. The role involves leading risk assessments, mentoring junior staff, and enhancing data analytics capabilities.

The position supports remote work options for candidates in Eastern and Central time zones, with responsibilities spanning across finance, accounting, tax, and policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• 4+ years of internal and/or external audit experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading, managing and executing financial and operational audit projects including identifying risks, performing testing, and reviewing controls, as well as working with and maintaining relationships with business
• Assist with the transition of controls/processes of new acquisitions and business transformations.
• Help develop less experienced staff.
• Assist in the execution of risk assessments with business leaders to create the annual audit plan.
• Communicate issues identified in the audit to the business and collaborate to identify a sufficient action plan.
• Lead in department development efforts centered on Data Analytics, Training, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Career Development and other areas of impact.

What Internal Audit - Finance contributes to Cardinal Health

Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.

Internal Audit - Finance conducts financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations. This family evaluates and recommends improvements to business practices, processes and control procedures and manages Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and fraud investigations.
