Adventures Plus is seeking a Site Coordinator to supervise staff and oversee program development at one site, including before/after school, non-school days, and summer programs. You will manage staffing, training, safety, and family engagement while ensuring compliance with DHS requirements.
The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to adapt activities to meet diverse needs. Start ASAP with available benefits and collaborative teams across locations.
The Adventures Plus Site Coordinator reports to and takes direction from the Program Coordinators and Program Supervisor.
Supervise staff, program development, and operation for at least one site, before and after school, on non-school days, and in the summer. Hours may include straight and split shifts based on program needs. Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsible for supervision of all site staff, including setting expectations, providing work direction, training, and mentoring to all child care assistants, Lane 2 child care assistants, Site Leaders, volunteers, and interns. Facilitates the employee goal setting and evaluation process. Provides regular feedback and addresses performance concerns in a timely manner. Creates a system for staff recognition and appreciation.
First-aid/CPR and CPI certified upon hire within 90 days - provided free of charge by Adventures Plus.
Appropriate oral and written communication skills to work positively with school staff, Adventures Plus staff, families, and children. Responsible for confidential information regarding staff, families, and children.
Counting and tracking students and maintaining ratios. Ensures effective management of site budget.
Recognizes and responds appropriately to problem situations using good judgment, collecting appropriate information, analyzing the situation, and identifying a timely and appropriate solution.
Effectively uses available technology, resources, and tools including Google and Microsoft Suites, job-specific information systems, and utilities.
Frequent: standing, walking, sitting, simple grasp, firm grasp, feeling, talking, hearing & visual accommodation; Occasional: lifting above shoulder, lifting waist to chest, lifting below the waist, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, twisting/pivot, reaching, and fine manipulating. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
Adapt to the environment of the children. Busy, noisy, shared spaces such as the cafeteria and gym. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, work a varied schedule, and travel to various locations for training, meetings, purchasing of supplies, and field trips.
