Job summary

Running Brook Camps is seeking energetic staff to lead and support campers during their summer season in Waltham, MA. You will engage youth in a variety of outdoor activities and serve as a positive role model.

Responsibilities include co-leading day and overnight trips, participating in training, and maintaining enthusiasm while ensuring camper safety. Eligible candidates are 18+, CPR/First Aid certified, with relevant education and experience.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Relevant education and experience in youth programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and model positive behavior for campers.
  • Co-lead day and overnight camping trips.
  • Facilitate activities like kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, and biking.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team on group management.
  • Participate in pre-camp training and professional development.

  • Be available for the camp season: June 22nd through August 14th 2026, Monday to Friday from 8:15am-4:00pm
  • Participate in pre-camp training and professional development
  • Co-lead a combination of day and overnight tent camping trips
  • Be an active participant and leader in all activities throughout the day, including: kayaking, canoeing, tent camping, rock climbing, hiking, biking, backpacking, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team about group management
  • Maintain a positive attitude and an enthusiasm for your work with all campers
  • 18 years of age or older
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Relevant education and experience
    • Examples: education, child development, clinical work, parks and recreation
  • Clean driving record
