Job summary

Groundwork Ohio is seeking an Advancement Manager to support statewide fundraising and reporting efforts. You will focus on individual and institutional giving, donor cultivation and stewardship, and grant management under the President & CEO.

This role drives advancement operations and fundraising strategy to grow resources for the organization’s mission. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, strong CRM skills (EveryAction preferred), and excellent communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management or a related field.
  • 3–5 years in nonprofit fundraising, advancement, or philanthropy.
  • Experience with donor cultivation and stewardship.
  • Foundation grants development and reporting experience.
  • Strong CRM/database management; EveryAction preferred.
  • Experience presenting fundraising reports and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and steward philanthropic resources for Groundwork Ohio statewide missions.
  • Lead donor cultivation and stewardship across individual and institutional giving.
  • Oversee grant development, reporting, and fundraising analytics.
  • Support advancement operations and craft fundraising strategy.

Job description

General Duties:
The Advancement Manager supports Groundwork Ohio’s statewide mission by helping grow and steward the philanthropic resources that make our work possible. Reporting to the President & CEO, this position serves as a key operational hub for the organization’s fundraising efforts, with a primary focus on individual and institutional giving, donor cultivation and stewardship, grant management, advancement operations, and fundraising strategy.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, public affairs, business, marketing, or a related field
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising, advancement, development operations, or philanthropy
  • Demonstrated experience with individual donor cultivation and stewardship
  • Experience supporting foundation grant development and reporting
  • Strong CRM/database management experience; EveryAction preferred
  • Experience preparing fundraising reports, dashboards, and analytics
  • Experience working with executive leadership and nonprofit boards preferred
  • Knowledge of Ohio’s philanthropic community preferred

Salary Range: $60,000–$75,000
