Job summary

Pinehurst Surgical Clinic is seeking an Advanced X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic exams and intraoperative C-arm support in a surgical clinic setting. You will ensure high-quality imaging, support procedural efficiency, and maintain ALARA safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires ARRT or state certification, experience with PACS, and the ability to operate X-ray equipment; strong communication and patient-focused service are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state licensure or ARRT certification.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices.
• Experience with digital imaging systems and PACS preferred.
• Ability to operate x-ray equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Basic computer skills for documentation, charge entry, and image processing.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move and position patients, and lift equipment up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with proper positioning and radiation safety.
• Provide intraoperative C-arm support for General Surgery and Wound Care procedures.
• Ensure sterile technique in procedural environments.
• Review EMR imaging orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Transmit images to PACS and confirm image quality prior to physician review.
• Support on-time case starts and same-day add-on imaging.
• Maximize daily imaging volume while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain readiness of imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation, charge entry, and image archiving.
• Support infection prevention protocols and equipment sterilization.
• Assist with training and satellite clinic coverage as needed.
• Manage phone inquiries related to imaging; prepare CDs and image releases.
