Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Wisconsin seeks an Advanced Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Forward Wind Energy Center. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE turbines and equipment, climbing towers as needed.

This safety-sensitive role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of technical experience, ability to work outdoors, and a valid driver's license. A competitive base pay plus bonus, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights over 80 meters (250 feet).
• Move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 265 lbs (excluding equipment/gear).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Safety sensitive position; drug testing required.

Advanced Wind Technician Forward Energy Center Brownsville, Wisconsin

As an Advanced Wind Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Forward Wind Energy Center.

This position will be open for application for at least 3 calendar days from the posting date. This position will remain open for application based on business need, which may be before or after the 3-day posting window.

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE wind turbines and associated equipment
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 124 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• This is a safety sensitive position. Individuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result to begin working for the company.

Base Pay

Base Pay $29.49 - $49.97 USD Hourly Bonus: 0% - 10% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
