Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Advanced Water Treatment Operator in Santa Monica, CA, to operate and monitor a water treatment facility within SWIP. You will manage membranes, filters, RO, and UV processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid CA Driver’s License with no major infractions.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in wastewater/advanced water treatment operations.
• SWRCB Grade II or higher Water/Wastewater Operator Certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates valves, pumps, and gates manually or via SCADA.
• Maintains facilities, equipment, and pump stations; performs general housekeeping.
• Observes process conditions and adjusts controls as needed.
• Collects samples and conducts in-plant lab analyses.
• Records data in logs and performs calculations.
• Supports maintenance of analyzers and instruments.
• Prepares reports; ensures safety and compliance.
• Work weekends/holidays as required.
