Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate in South Jordan, UT to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and performance standards. You’ll work with a skilled team, handling engines, brakes, steering, suspension, plus HVAC systems in a modern facility.

You will gain hands-on experience with both domestic and foreign vehicles while following EH&S rules and contributing to customer satisfaction. CarMax supports growth with ongoing training and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by State/Local law.
