Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in California seeks an Ultrasound Technologist II to perform level I and II ultrasound procedures, ensuring high-quality images and accurate documentation. You will educate patients, support colleagues, and may participate in on-call duties across imaging locations.

The role requires ARDMS certification, BLS, and 3+ years of ultrasound experience, with preference for cardio-imaging proficiency in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher.
• Graduate of an ARDMS approved ultrasound program.
• Minimum of three years of experience as an ultrasound technologist, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of education if licensure and certification requirements are met.
• Cardiology dept: experience with adult, neonatal, pediatric ultrasound, stress echo, TEEs and intraoperative TEE preferred; bicycle stress echo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform level I routine and level II advanced ultrasound procedures per department protocols.
• Obtain high quality diagnostic ultrasound images and evaluate image quality prior to interpretation.
• Educate patient/family about procedures and document patient information in hospital systems.
• Act as a resource to less experienced technologists and participate in call rotation as needed.
