Papé Group is hiring an Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic for the day shift in Oregon. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks, lead by example, and mentor other technicians while upholding top safety and quality standards.

Your role focuses on precise repairs, efficient service, and maximizing uptime for customers, with opportunities for growth in a team-driven shop environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills across engines, transmissions, axles, brakes and electrical systems.
• Ability to lead and mentor teammates while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy trucks (Class 7/8).
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other technicians.
• Analyze mechanical and electronic malfunctions and determine repair strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Advanced Truck Technician / Mechanic, you’ll be a leader in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will be required to have a deep mechanical understanding, sound judgment, and the ability to lead by example while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in every task.

Your daily focus will be ensuring that every truck repair is completed with precision, efficiency, and lasting quality, while also serving as a mentor and technical resource for other technicians in the shop. Each day you will analyze complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions, determine the best repair strategy, and execute repairs or rebuilds on major systems including engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems. You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers by maximizing uptime and getting trucks back on the road quickly, safely, and correctly the first time.

This team member will work Monday – Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 5 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
• Basic computer knowledge. Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Compensation: $40.90-45.45/hr (Depending on Experience)
