Job summary

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist Advanced Skills to support the operating room under the supervision of an RN. The role involves assembly, setup and use of surgical instrumentation, and responsive action in routine and emergent cases.

Requirements include graduation from a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent, WA state registration, CPR certification, and preferred national certification. 1.0 FTE, 10-hour day shifts at Deaconess Hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to start date.
• Health Care Provider level CPR certification.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and preparation of the surgical patient and operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN.
• Handle assembly, setup, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during procedures.
• Work under routine or emergent/critical situations with directed and independent decision-making as needed.

Education

Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience

National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
