The starting rate of pay for the advanced step apprentice position is $42.98 hourly and $66.13 for the journeyman system field technician. This position will be posted for 10 Working days from October 1, 2026, to October 14, 2026.SummaryThe applicant will be required to maintain Substation and Generating plant equipment in the five-state area. The four-year apprenticeship will require Advanced Step Apprentice System Field Technician(s) to attain the necessary skills and qualifications to meet the Journeyman classification position. He/She will be required to have knowledge of all test equipment used by the SFT's today and in the future. Physical demands include but are not limited to lifting 50 lbs, carrying, climbing, handling, kneeling, and reaching.
