Job summary

Honeywell's Security and Access Solutions business seeks an Advanced Software Engineer to build a cloud-based SaaS unified security solution for access control, video, and monitoring. You will work in a hybrid Pittsford, NY environment reporting to the Sr.

Software Engineering Manager, contributing to feature design, implementation, and mentoring within a cross-functional team. The role emphasizes strong functional programming, multi-tenant cloud development, and collaboration with product teams

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with CI practices, unit testing, and automated integration testing.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, network security, automation tools, and system analysis.
• Experience building scalable solutions with zero-downtime deployment.

You will be joining one of our most strategic initiatives to build a cloud-based software-as-a-service unified security solution supporting access control, video, and monitoring capabilities. As part of the engineering team, you will work in a continuous delivery environment and contribute to features that directly impact our customers daily.
You will report directly to our Sr. Software Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Pittsford, NY location on a Hybrid work schedule.

The Advanced Software Engineer will participate in feature planning and design sessions, architect and implement software solutions, assist with test plans and documentation, and maintain those solutions. This position produces significant results through technical leadership and the building of strong coaching/mentoring peer relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong functional programming skills.

The annual base salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $159,000.00 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
