Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Advanced Quantum Scientist to advance quantum information science for DoD applications. You will run advanced experiments, study complex data, and provide direct quantum support in a laboratory environment, mentoring teammates and collaborating with the customer to understand questions and needs.

Advanced Quantum Scientist The Opportunity: Are you excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by quantum information science? We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical and experimental skills to improve quantum computing, communications, and sensing capabilities for the DoD. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs and provide direct quantum support in their laboratory environment. You’ll mentor and learn from teammates, run advanced experiments, study and evaluate complex data, and recommend changes and alternative solutions. You Have: Experience with theory and experimentation of quantum materials or qubit control Experience handling large data sets, including data collection, manipulation, and analysis Experience evaluating and interpreting experimental data Ability to convey complex concepts to a vast audience, in writing or verbally Ability to work collaboratively with varied backgrounds and expertise Ability to demonstrate authorship of scientific publications on theory and experimentation of quantum materials or qubit control Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree Nice If You Have: 5+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment Experience leading and managing teams of scientists and engineers Knowledge of low and room temperature qubit measurements, including MKS Knowledge of quantum algorithms, ion trapping, superconducting circuits, or photonics Knowledge of optical readout and coherent control of spin qubits, electrical readout, or integration with CMOS devices Master's degree Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
