Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an Advanced Quality Engineer for an on-site role in Blue Ash, OH. You will contribute to Agile delivery with strong test automation, and build modular automation frameworks, execute diverse test types, and ensure SDLC standards are met.

You will work with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab), QA processes, risk-based testing, and root cause analysis, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years writing Selenium tests in Java or JavaScript using WebDriver, WebdriverIO, Marathon, or Appium.
• 3+ years with test runners such as JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, or Jasmine.
• 3+ years with CI tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab.
• 1+ years with Selenium Grid.
• 2+ years working in Agile or Scrum methodology.
• 1+ years using Jira for defect tracking.
• 2+ years using Quality Center or ALM for test case management.
• Proficiency with SQL for back-end validation.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a fast paced Agile environment.
• Develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilizing modular frameworks and best practices.
• Execute test scripts to validate correct application functionality.
• Use SQL for back-end database validation.
• Perform smoke, white box, black box, integration, end-to-end, regression, and system testing as needed.
• Coordinate test script reviews with stakeholders.
• Adhere to requirement review, defect writing, and test script writing guidelines.

• Participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the project team.

Our client seeks an Advanced Quality Engineer who will contribute to Agile delivery with strong test automation capability. The role requires expertise with CI tools, QA processes, risk-based testing, and root cause analysis. The engineer will develop and maintain modular automation frameworks, execute diverse test types, and collaborate with stakeholders to uphold SDLC standards and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Work effectively in a fast paced Agile environment.
• Develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilizing modular frameworks and best practices.
• Execute test scripts to validate correct application functionality.
• Use SQL for back-end database validation.
• Perform smoke, white box, black box, integration, end-to-end, regression, and system testing as needed.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews and evaluate from a test automation standpoint.
• Manage test coverage based on risk analysis.
• Document defects and evaluate priority based on overall functionality.
• Coordinate test script reviews with stakeholders.
• Adhere to requirement review, defect writing, and test script writing guidelines.
• Ensure completion of deliverables within schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions.
• Ensure projects follow prescribed SDLC standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the project team.
• Multi-task to meet assignment deadlines and accurately estimate work.
• Show assertiveness and identify obstacles with suggestions to mitigate them.
• Help drive and improve QA processes within the assigned team.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab.
• Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Proficient in defect tracking and root cause analysis using tools such as Jira or Rally.
• Strong understanding of automation concepts and approaches.
• Experience working with or on remote teams.
• Ability to utilize risk-based testing techniques.
• Experience with test environment and test data management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a willingness to challenge norms.
